must have: A Massachusetts Systems Technician “D” license or
Journeyman “B” license, or the equivalent in other states. You will
be proficient with residential and commercial security systems
installation, programming and service, including but not limited
to: Burglar Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control
Systems, Video Systems, Intercom Systems, and networking. You must
have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a company
vehicle. Backgrounds checks are required. The System Technician in
the Telecommunication Services industry plays a critical role in
ensuring the reliability and efficiency of telecommunication
systems and infrastructure. This position involves the
installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and
software components that support communication networks. The
technician will work closely with engineering and operations teams
to optimize system performance and minimize downtime. They are
responsible for conducting regular system inspections, diagnosing
technical issues, and implementing timely solutions to maintain
seamless service delivery. Ultimately, the role ensures that
telecommunication services meet quality standards and customer
expectations through proactive system management and support.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent;
technical certification or associate degree in electronics,
telecommunications, or related field preferred. Proven experience
in system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the
telecommunication industry or a similar technical environment.
Basic understanding of telecommunication network architectures,
protocols, and hardware components. Ability to read and interpret
technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as
part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in relevant
technologies such as CompTIA Network, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
Experience with fiber optic systems, VoIP technologies, and
wireless communication equipment. Familiarity with network
monitoring tools and diagnostic software. Knowledge of safety
standards and regulatory compliance in telecommunication
installations. Previous experience working in a fast-paced
telecommunication service provider environment. Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication hardware and
software systems according to company standards and industry best
practices. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
to ensure system integrity and prevent service interruptions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, network issues, and
hardware failures, providing timely resolutions to minimize
downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network
engineers, field technicians, and customer support to address
technical challenges and implement upgrades. Document system
configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports to
support operational transparency and continuous improvement.
Skills: The required and preferred skills are essential for the
System Technician to effectively manage and maintain
telecommunication systems. Technical proficiency allows the
technician to install and configure complex hardware and software
components accurately. Troubleshooting skills enable quick
identification and resolution of system faults, minimizing service
disruptions. Communication and collaboration skills are vital for
coordinating with team members and documenting technical
information clearly. Additionally, knowledge of industry standards
and safety protocols ensures that all work is performed reliably

[$42.00 – $45.00] per hour. The compensation determination for each
candidate is dependent on experience, skills, qualifications,
