They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the growing team in a full-time permanent staff capacity to contribute to the design and coordination of building electrical systems. This position is open due to growth Responsibilities Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and low-voltage systems for building projects. Perform load calculations, short-circuit analyses, and energy code compliance reviews. Create and review drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural disciplines to ensure integrated MEP design. Participate in design meetings, site visits, and field inspections. Assist project managers in maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Mentor junior engineers and designers by providing technical guidance and checking their work. Research new technologies, codes, and standards to integrate into projects. Communicate effectively with architects, contractors, and clients regarding design intent and project requirements. Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and conducting field inspections. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline required. 4–8 years of experience in building electrical systems design within an MEP consulting environment. EIT required; PE licensure (or ability to obtain within 1–2 years) preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP required. Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, IECC, and other applicable codes/standards. Experience with lighting calculation software (e.g., AGi32), SKM, or ETAP is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
