Job Description Job Description Job Title: Preconstruction Estimator Job Description The Preconstruction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans. The role involves preparing material and labor cost estimates, developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and contractors, and managing bids from vendors and contractors. The estimator will use bid data to prepare detailed cost analyses and present the prepared estimates to management and stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes compiling and recording actual costs. Responsibilities Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans. Prepare material and labor cost estimates. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors. Manage bids from vendors and contractors. Use bid data to prepare detailed cost analyses. Present prepared estimates to management and stakeholders. Compile and record actual costs. Essential Skills 5 years of experience working as an estimator in construction. Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mathematics, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. Experience in commercial construction. Project management skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
