Job Description:
Designs and implements private and public cloud technology
platforms that manage a broad spectrum of application workloads
including, Web applications, batch processes, machine learning, and
messaging systems running in AWS, Container platforms, and IBM
Websphere technologies. Architects and implements end to end
automation for orchestration platforms ranging from CI/CD
(Continuous integration and Continuous Delivery) to infrastructure
automation and software configuration management. Primary Responsibilities: Provides end-to-end architectural strategies for Cloud native
container-based platforms and spearheads innovative solutions for
customers. Outlines Cloud migration architecture strategies and implements
Container platforms where all the next generation technology stack
will be deployed. Utilizes technical aptitudes along with domain expertise to
develop innovative solutions. Designs and implements best practices in DevOps and Cloud
domains. Engineers enterprise base, web enabled applications, using AWS
based Cloud architecture. Delivers solutions and strategies to build broad use of AWS
services, including AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, and AWS
CloudFront. Designs mission critical integration points and implements
highly agile architecture using AWS services. Performs engineering and continuous integration and delivery
using CI/CD practices. Designs and implements performance monitoring frameworks and
using the frameworks to create performance analyses of container
orchestration platforms. Designs systems for high throughput, low latency, high
availability and fault tolerance. Develops quick acting architecture technology solutions. Implements continuous integration/deployment cloud
architecture. Designs CI/CD pipeline framework, using Jenkins and other CI
tools. Creates designs and architectural patterns for next generation
continuous delivery solution. Partners with cross team architects to drive innovative cloud
technology solutions delivered in sprints using Agile
methodologies. Mentors junior team members. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
designing and implementing enterprise level private and public
cloud architectures for migration of enterprise applications to
private and public clouds. Or, alternatively, a Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely
related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered
or four (4) years of experience designing and implementing
enterprise level private and public cloud architectures for
migration of enterprise applications to private and public
clouds. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) architecting and engineering
enterprise level, private and public cloud based platforms built on
IBM Websphere, Container platforms, Jenkins, and CaaS (Container as
a Service) to deploy and manage dynamic microservice applications
across public (AWS) and private clouds based on OpenStack and IBM
WebSphere technologies. DE building infrastructure frameworks and tool chains, using
programming languages -- Java, Golang, and Jython (IBM wsadmin) --
to deploy microservices workloads to Container and IBM Websphere
platforms in on-premise datacenters and cloud service providers
(AWS). DE designing, prototyping, and implementing complex, highly
scalable continuous delivery solutions and pipelines in a CI/CD
domain, using Jenkins, CloudFormation, Rundeck, and Ansible to
enable enterprise Agile application teams to roll out application
features. DE designing and engineering highly scalable disaster recovery
and resilient architectures, using Cloud and middleware
technologies IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker, and Websphere Application
Server; and creating feedback loops to deliver operational
