Job Details Position Type: Locum tenens psychiatrist (Travel) Healthcare Setting: Adult inpatient behavioral health unit Location: Troy, NY 12180 Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm Estimated Weekly Salary: $7,050 $8,350 Call: 1:4 rotation (includes weekend coverage) Unit Details: 30-bed adult unit (split between 2 psychiatrists, approx. 15 patients per provider) EMR: EPIC Security: 24/7 security guards; all staff attend codes Assignment Duration: 13-week contract, with potential to extend Qualifications Board Certified Psychiatrist (ABPN) Active New York State medical license ACLS certification Clean background for expedited credentialing Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the same month of submission) Full-time availability Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatry experience preferred Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for adult inpatients Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized care plans Participate in 1:4 call rotation, including weekend crisis unit coverage Ensure patient safety and participate in hospital codes as needed Document all patient care in EPIC EMR system Foster a positive, secure, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff Apply now to join our healthcare team in Troy, NY and make a difference in adult inpatient psychiatry!
