Insights and Planning Associate ConsultantZS's Regulatory and
Safety Vertical is a subdivision of ZS's entrepreneurial Research
and Development practice. We are a small team which, among other
things, works with R&D Regulatory stakeholders at
pharmaceutical companies to assist with strategy and implementation
to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of submissions.We are
looking for a new team member with R&D Regulatory domain
knowledge and experience in applying it to data modeling, designing
Regulatory technologies (e.g. Regulatory Intelligence) and
implementing Regulatory standards (e.g. IDMP) and ontologies. This
team member will work on client projects with other members of our
team and other ZSers to implement work such as that mentioned
above. While overall project direction will be provided based on
client context, we expect the associate consultant to be
sufficiently well-versed in the details of technical implementation
to require minimum guidance on the technological "how-to" of the
approach.What you'll do
- Contribute to client proposals with refinement of approach and
estimation of work required
- Understand solution context and contribute in technical
requirement gathering and analysis
- Design and implement technical features leveraging best
practices for technology stack being used
- Work with technical architects on the team to validate design
and implementation approach
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical clients and
colleagues in layman's language
- Perform data modeling and develop ontologies
- Write production-ready code that is easily testable, understood
by other developers and accounts for edge cases and errors
- Ensure highest quality of deliverables by following
architecture/design guidelines, coding best practices, periodic
design/code reviews
- Write unit tests as well as higher level tests to handle
expected edge cases and errors gracefully, as well as happy paths
- Uses bug tracking, code review, version control and other tools
to organize and deliver work
- Participate in scrum calls and agile ceremonies, and
effectively communicate work progress, issues and dependencies
- Consistently contribute in researching & evaluating latest
technologies through rapid learning, conducting proof-of-concepts
and creating prototype solutions What you'll bring
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in R&D Regulatory
technology
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Good understanding of semantic web concepts, ontologies and
taxonomies
- Knowledge of IDMP, eCTD, CDISC and other regulatory standards
- Hands-on coding experience in semantic web technologies such as
SPARQL, RDF, OWL
- Working experience in at least one of the following graph
databases - Stardog, Neo4J, AWS Neptune, Marklogic, Anzo
- Experience in creating/updating graph schema, data parsing,
mapping and loading data to graph schemas and reconciliation
- Working experience in programming languages like Python, Java,
Shell-scripting
- Good understanding of RDBMS with hands-on experience in writing
SQLsAdditional Skills:
- Working experience in agile team setups
- Certification in semantic concepts from Open PHI, EDM council
and/or associated technologies like Neo4J, TigerGraph, PoolParty
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
- Willingness to travel to other global offices as needed to work
