Interstate Waste Services, a leader in sustainable waste management solutions in the Northeast, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Overnight Waste Collection CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in supporting our mission by providing efficient and reliable waste pickup services during overnight hours, ensuring that our communities stay clean and that waste materials are processed responsibly. Operate waste collection vehicles with a focus on safety and customer courtesy. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure operational safety. Navigate assigned routes to collect garbage and recycling as scheduled reliably. Work closely with dispatch and route managers to improve route efficiencies and reduce operational costs. Adhere to company policies and local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste disposal and traffic laws. Complete logs and reports on route activities and vehicle maintenance. Respond appropriately to emergencies or unexpected route changes. Proficiency in operating commercial vehicles, specifically those requiring a CDL. Ability to adhere strictly to schedules and routes. Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to maneuver heavy material. Excellent navigational and driving skills. Safety and hazardous materials training certifications are preferred.
