This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.OverviewThe Residential Aide Supervisor (RAS) ensures the wellbeing and safety of the program's clients and staff during their shift and supervises a staff of five (5) Residential Aides so they can achieve the same goal. The RAS provides crisis intervention as needed to maintain residential safety and security. The RAS encourages our clients to adhere to the Housing Works Code of Conduct so that they can participate in the program in a healthy and safe manner.PrimaryResponsibilities:

• The RAS supervises five (5) Residential Aides and ensures there is adequate coverage during the shifts the RAS works.Secondary
  • Build rapport with program clients and engage with them professionally and respectfully.
  • When necessary, de-escalate tense, even hostile, client situations.Other functions that may be required with this position include:
    • Ensure the safety, security and integrity of all residents and guests, as well as the physical environment of the facility.
    • Conduct periodic facility walk-throughs.
    • Train staff in all programmatic policies and procedures.
    • Always provide excellent customer service and confidentiality.
    • Communicate with the clinical staff on resident behavior as well as the care of those on the fragile list.
    • Always enforce the Residential Code of Conduct and/or House Rules.
    • Enthusiastically participate in advocacy and direct actions to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
    • Occasionally to Frequently expected to de-escalate tense, even hostile, client situations
