Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Physical Therapist position is available in a school setting located in Bronx, NY, focusing on elementary students on the Autism Spectrum. This contract role includes coverage during a maternity leave from April 24 to June 26, followed by full-time Extended School Year (ESY) services from July 6 to August 14. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct physical therapy services to elementary students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on student needs - Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams including teachers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists - Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation - Adapt therapy approaches to promote student engagement and participation in the educational environment Desired Qualifications: - Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric or school-based therapy - Knowledge of physical therapy practices relevant to children on the Autism Spectrum - Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team - Strong communication and organizational skills - Previous experience in a school setting preferred Location: - Bronx, New York Benefits: - Opportunity to work full-time during both the school year and the ESY period - Gain experience supporting elementary students with ASD in a school environment - Work in a collaborative and supportive educational setting This role offers a chance to impact the growth and development of children with special needs through direct physical therapy services.
